The elite initiative of Dirigentløftet in Norway aims to train highly skilled conductors for the Norwegian and international music industry. The Elite Initiative includes masterclass courses like Dirigentforum Junior, Dirigentforum, Dirigentforum Kor, and the Nordic Dirigentforum, as well as the Assistant Conductor program and the Career Launch program ‘Opptakt’.

These elite programs are aimed at highly talented musicians or music students who are devoted to developing their conducting expertise and who show great artistic potential.

Dirigentforum collaborates with international mentors and professional ensembles in Norway and in the Nordic countries.

It is the Professional Council of Dirigentløftet that selects the participants in Dirigentforum and determines the repertoire.
Talent Norway is in charge of organizing the elite programs of Dirigentløftet.
