Ingunn K. Hagen appointed assistant in Bergen
Ingunn Korsgård Hagen was, after auditions on Dec. 2, appointed assistant conductor of the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, starting in February 2023. This assistantship position is named after BPO maestro Karsten Andersen, who was their chief conductor for more than 20 years, 1964-1985.
Ingunn has been part of Dirigentløftet for several years. She started her conducting endeavours as a youth participant at Dirigentuka in 2013, and later moved on to pursue a Bachelor´s and a Master´s degree in conducting at the University of Stavanger. She´s been part of Dirigentforum and was assistant conductor at the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra until recently.
