Season 2024-25:

  • October 2-3, 2024 at Harpa Concert Hall, Reykjavik. Masterclass and concert with the Iceland Philharmonic and their chief conductor Eva Ollikainen.

  • April 14-15, 2025 at Musikhuset Aarhus (Denmark). Masterclass with the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra and conductor Thomas Søndergaard

Five to six Nordic conductors* will be selected as active participants after an open call/application process. This group of five to six conductors are invited to conduct at both events. There will also be a reserve list of four additional conductors, in case of withdrawals. A jury from the two host orchestras will review the applications.

The Nordic Conductors’ Forum season 2024-25 is organized by Talent Norway (Talent Norge) as part of our Norwegian elite conducting program Dirigentløftet and in collaboration with the partners Aarhus Symphony Orchestra/the Danish Dirigentløftet and Iceland Symphony Orchestra. The project is supported by the Norwegian Savings Bank Foundation and Augustinus Fonden (Denmark).

Application deadline is May 31, 2024

The application must include:

  • CV/resume

  • a motivation text/application text,

  • an artist description text/biography

  • a portrait photo

  • links to video of the applicant conducting.

    * Conductors who are citizens or permanent residents of any Nordic country – Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Faroe Islands, Åland or Greenland – are eligible to apply.
    Non-Nordic citizens who reside in any of these countries and who have long-term relations to the Nordics can apply. Non-Nordic applicants; please indicate in the application the duration, extent and status of your connection to the Nordics.
